Our Story

My name is Rebecca McMenamin, I am 47 and a dedicated mother of 4 children. I have always had a love for physical movement and health. I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years. I originally started yoga to help me balance out my gym work as I noticed my body was becoming sore and stiff. As I became more interested in how and why yoga was helping me to feel better both physically and mentally I started the deep dive into traditional and ancient forms of healing, moving and supporting our bodies for health and longevity. This is when I discovered the incredible power of Mediation, Breathwork and Qigong.

Teaching has always been my passion. Firstly, as a primary school teacher and then a series of life changing events led me to become a yoga teacher. For me, parenting a neurodiverse child has been an ongoing source of learning, growth, challenge and reward.  It changed the way I thought about parenting, family and connection with others. Then just over 2 years ago my loving husband and father of my 4 children suddenly passed. The powerful teachings of Yoga, Qigong, Mediation and Breathwork helped me ride the immediate wave of grief and to stay stable and available for my children.

I have learnt that stress and trauma is something that can sit in our bodies and minds, disguising itself into many, many different forms including lower back pain and anxiety. It is not something that just disappears after a set time. For me Yoga, Mediation, Breathwork and Qigong have been the most powerful tools in not only my healing but also of my growth.

As these natural and ancient forms of healing have helped myself and my family better understand and deal with life’s challenges, I wanted to share these powerful tools with others. Yoga, Mediation, Breathwork and Qigong are for everyone.  I want to create a safe, non judgemental, all inclusive space where people of all abilities, ages, shapes and sizes can engage with these practices. A space where you can stop, take time for yourself, shut out the world and breathe. I hope people leave my classes feeling relaxed, refreshed, renewed and reenergised. I hope by sharing my experiences and teachings I can help others walk their path through life.
